LIGASURE PRECISE SYSTEM
Medtronic's revolutionary new sealing-section system allows surgeons to operate with confidence and exceptional clinical performance when handling the widest range of tissues.
With this instrument, hemostatic clips or internal sutures are no longer necessary. By decreasing the amount of foreign bodies that we leave in the surgical wound, we can guarantee a better and faster recovery.
By decreasing the amount of foreign material that we leave in the surgical wound, we can guarantee a better recovery.
MICROSURGERY GLASSES
These glasses have magnifying lenses and an LED light that allows anatomical structures to be better identified. This enables the tissue to be treated more delicately.
Better vision of the neck structures makes the operation more effective and safer.
We use our magnifying lenses for all our operations. It is impossible to predict before the procedure in which cases the the thyroid or the parathyroid dissection will be more complicated, therefore we prefer to be prepared for all eventualities.
Seeing the surgical field better makes the operation more comfortable and relaxed.
The microsurgery glasses allow us to obtain an optimal vision of the neck structures.
Better vision makes the operation more efficient and safer.
We cannot predict the dissection difficulties that may arise. For this reason, we always operate with the best possible vision.
INTELLIGENT OPERATING THEATRE
Operating in a technologically advanced operating theatre guarantees more comfort, better resources and better results in surgery.
A part of the success achieved in endoscopic surgery must be attributed to the vision systems (endoscope, monitors, led light ...). The operating theatre that we use has the most modern facilities.
The latest generation integrated vision systems (laparoscopy) allow high definition (Full-HD) and even 3D to be used.
The operating theatre that we use has the most state-of-the-art facilities available.

THYROID SURGERY
RADIO-GUIDED SURGERY
NEUROMONITORING OF THE LOWER LARYNGEAL NERVE OR RECURRENT NERVE
Between 5 and 15% of patients undergoing thyroid surgery may suffer a transient recurrent nerve injury.
The surgeon's experience, technical aspects and the direct affectation of the recurrent nerve by cancer will directly influence the injury.
We have incorporated laryngeal nerve monitoring into thyroid surgery, allowing the intraoperative evaluation of the integrity of the recurrent nerve function.
This technology allows the recurrent nerve to be identified in those cases in which a difficulty in its location is foreseen (repeat operations, surgery for cancer recurrence, large goiters).
The use of a neurostimulator can help prevent some injuries of the recurrent laryngeal nerve.
INVISIBLE SUTURE
We place a special suture thread in the dermis that has specific characteristics that allow the tension of the scar to be distributed in the perioperative period (about 30 days). This will help to better nourish the skin, achieving a more intense initial healing.
In addition, as the thread is hidden inside the scar and there is no need to remove it, the wound is cleaner and the patient's post-operative pain is reduced.
We use a special suture that helps the wound to heal faster and better.
